Winter in Colorado

Here are some pictures from my ski days this winter. I tried to be more intentional about going this year since it’s a pretty expensive hobby. I bough the season pass (Epic local) last year for around $700 and only skied two days.. opps. This year I did a little better and went four days. The pass is very much worth it because it’s over $200 for a ONE day lift ticket which is crazy to me. I like to go on my day off during the week when it’s less crowded because traffic on I-70 can be bad.

Crested Butte

Joe came to visit for a weekend and we drove 4 hours from Denver to Crested Butte for a ski weekend. The first day was really snowy, but the second day had clear skies with great mountain views. We went on a Monday/Tuesday and it wasn’t crowded at all. Highly recommend skiing on week days if you can. I really liked Crested Butte and would definitely go again. It’s a one street town with shops, restaurants and a quaint book store that I loved. I hear they have beautiful wild flowers in the summer. So it’s definitely on my list to visit again.

Great views on day two

Cute one street town

Snowy view with Aspen trees from my Airbnb window
Day one conditions were very whiteout

Butte Bagels. Good breakfast spot to check out.
Bonez. Good Mexican spot we had lunch at twice. The queso was so good.
Another shot of the interior of Bonez. I loved the decor.
Breadery. Highly recommend this spot for dinner. Really good bread, pizza, and pasta.
